how do i get rid of my murky hot tub water?
Posted by admin
I have a hot tub and the water is very murky.I have been looking all over the net and it says to turn my filters on how do i do that? I don't even want to go in because of the water. If you could tell me how to get rid of the murkiness or tell me how to turn the filters on the would be great.
I wonder what model and brand of tub you have to be able to better answer this. Most tubs will circulate automatically because of the electronic brains(circuit board). The older have a timer that you select each ten or fifteen minute interval you want. The filter cycles on most are 2 hours every twelve hours. Murky water is from the water not being balanced and not enough sanitizer being used. You really need to keep the bromine level between 3-5ppm. Chlorine 1.5-3ppm. Do realize there's only 7 major bacterias that can get you very sick if you don't take enough time to learn a little about proper chemistry that are common to hot tubs here in the USA. Do find your local hot tub store and take them a water sample for a computerized test to make sure everything is proper. IF you could edit your question with more details about the tub…

Turn on the pumps to circulate the water.
A few chemicals will also help.
