I just bought a portable hot tub from Meijers and was wondering how long it takes to heat it up to 104 degrees. I have the filter and heat on to 104.The tub only cost $500 and holds 250 gallons. Do I need the jets on as well? One person told me it could take about an hour a degree. Is that true? HELP!!

Small in-ground pool or swim spa?
Posted by admin
I have a small backyard, but my family really wants a pool. Well, we're divided: half want a pool (even a small one) and half want a hot tub. In any case, if we get a pool I want an inground one (so one of those inflatable pools is not an option for us–I hate the look and my town is cracking down on fences for them), with a graduated bottom (so little kids can get in safely). But then again, a hot tub is nice too. We can't afford or make space for both.
So I looked at so-called Swim Spas. I like their sizes, easy installation, and that they can be disassembled if we move. But they all seem to have flat bottoms and be really designed more for exercise. We're looking for family fun and relaxation.
Any suggestions? Do other options exist? I'd love to hear from others who have installed either small pools or swim spas. Thanks!
You answered your own question. A Swim spa is for exercise not lounging about in the summer pool. Some do have a hot tub end. You can always think about the future and that someone might decide they like swiming and put a Baud jet/Speck pump (That's the leading brand for swim spas) in a wall of your pool so you can get some good exercise out of it. Now you do have the best of both worlds.

All of a sudden my 2 year old daughter hates her bath?
Posted by admin
She used to love getting a bath, but now I can barely get her hair washed! She won't even sit in the water and she says "I don't like it!".
She has one of those inflatable tubs that fit in the big tub and I always check the water temperature so I know it isn't too hot. She has lots of bath toys, but she won't play with them.
Any suggestions?
sounds like a phase maybe try taking out the inflatable and just use the tub that might help or ask her to help you by washing her self i know that she may not do the best job at it but maybe if you get her involved in it to that she might like baths again and if that works then you are just teaching her good hygiene skills at a young age which is good.

inflatable hot tubs
Your question would be?
They do make them, so a little more information is needed before we can give an answer more than what I have.
What should I put in place of my dining room table in my bachelor’s pad? (Like the foosball table on friends)?
Posted by admin
I already thought of a ping pong table and a inflatable hot tub. The hot tub was too heavy, and not quite enough room for the ping pong table…
I would put what your interested in and enjoy..
Examples
Indoor hoop table
poker/game table
darts.
pool table
mini bar/nice seating
music
game table for backgammon,poker,etc…
XL table top games/can be bought used also…..
I saw an ad on CNN, for a hot tub that plugs into a normal outlet. It wasn't inflatable or squishy. The?
Posted by admin
It might not have been on CNN. It was in TV during the day on May 2.
Does anyone know what the product is called?
Hi Truth. I am a know-it-all too so I understand what compeled you to post your non-answer.
First thought is; If it plugs into a normal 110 outlet it will take a long time to heat. It may trip the breaker on that circuit if it doesn;t get the cord hot and start a fire. You have to be carefull of anything they advertise on tv

How much does it cost on average to run an inflatable hot tub?
Posted by admin
It's sized for 2 - 4 people.
It also will depend on were you live.
Here is a topic I found that was simular to yours.
Question: Are there any estimates on monthly electric charges for the Spa2Go?
Answer: In regards to your questions for the spa the electric charges I cannot tell you exactly because electricity is charged differently everywhere. What I can tell you is that it uses as much electricity as a 75 watt light bulb if you were to leave the electricity on all day and night. You can check your electric bill and see how much they charge you per watt and find out cost from there or call your electric company and they will give you a cost.
Here is some web sites to look at .
