Early Rider Classic pedal free balance bike review

General Information

Early Rider Classic balance bike

Balance bikes, or running bikes as they are sometimes called, have no stabilisers or pedals, helping your child develop balance, co-ordination and confidence straightaway. As their confidence grows using the balance bike they can progress to a normal bike without the use of stabilisers.

Consumer Feedback

"He's very pleased with it. It's nicely built and very solid. We had to remove the steering restrictions because it was frustrating him too much, but the steering is still comparatively limited, so no danger of him turning too hard and falling off. Blowing up the rear tyre is a bit tricky because the wheel is so small - you need to have quite a narrow pump to be able to fit it between the valve and hub."

"The seat is adjustable, but the handlebar height isn't. You can adjust wether steering is restricted. In restricted mode you get maybe 20 degrees of swivel. Remove this and you get full steering. (Our boy found the limited steering too restictive. It might be good once they're going ful pelt and trying to learn to balance but at the moment it was stopping him just scooting round the garden)

Overall I think it's great. Perhaps slightly overpriced but worth it, and it should last long enough for future brothers and sisters."
